We have been having lots of fun here in NY. It has been rather chilly (at least for this Alabama girl)- I think today was the warmest day,I actually took my coat off, and it was maybe 80 degrees. The kids have still loved swimming every day and playing outside, even when the high has been in the 60's. Josh flew up Friday and left early Sunday morning to get back for school and work. I have really missed him! We enjoyed finishing up cousin's camp with everyone. The theme this year was the solar system and Josh's parents bought all the kids space outfits. They LOVE them! We went to a local place and looked through the telescopes at Saturn, Venus and Jupiter. It was very interesting to see the rings around Saturn! Beautiful! The kids wore their outfits when we went.

We also celebrated Sarah's birthday and I think she was glad to have a real birthday celebration.

Both of Josh's sister's and his brother and their families got together here at his parents house on Saturday and we had fun together. We went and had a family picture taken and then our little family, plus Nathan, went and visited Josh's grandmother. It was great to see her again.

The kids all painted the planets in the solar system and when we get home we will hang them up, like a mobile. They really enjoyed making it! Joshua's will be missing a planet though- he turned one of the rings and one of the planets into an alien space ship.

They also had a missionary story that was read to them each day. We had it read to us the day we got there, so we would be caught up, because the lady who was the missionary came and spoke to the kids and answered their questions. I was amazed at how much the kids had actually listened and picked up on her story. She was a child of some missionaries and was captured by the Japanese and put in a concentration camp for several years during World War 2 when she was only 4 or 5. Very interesting. I am going to try to find the book and read it!
Here are some pictures of our time together this week-

This week Josh's sister's church is having VBS and the kids have all been attending. I took the kid's down today since Josh's parents were working. They really seem to enjoy going. Tomorrow after VBS, Josh's brother and one of his sister's and their families will be coming over and we will spend the afternoon together and then go watch fireworks together that night. We are heading back home on Thursday and I can't wait to see Josh again!
We also made rockets and shot them off and went to the Mather's new property where they will be moving later on this year. I will try to add pictures from that time, hopefully soon. You never know though.
