Last Saturday, Sarah had her first soccer game of this season. She has been asking to play since last fall and was so excited about her game, but when we got there, she changed her mind. She burst into tears, said she "never wants to play soccer ever" and basically had a meltdown. Unfortunately, Josh had been called in, so he didn't get there until the game was over. Thankfully, Grandaddy came to my rescue and was able to get her to go back out and be willing to participate in the game.
Thank you Dad!!
I was very thankful that dad, mom, Stephen, Bryan, Angie and Charlie all came! It was fun to see them and we had a great time. MOST of these pics are from Angie- thanks SO much Angie! They are great!

We had fun visiting together.

This is how Joshua was most of the game- reading! He LOVES to read!!

Sarah kicked the ball once that game and Angie got a picture of it!! After the game, Sarah came up and said, "I kicked the ball one time." She was very excited. She played for quite awhile. She stayed away from the ball for the most part but ran and ran with everyone. When it was time for her to switch out players, she came up to me and said, "I'm wornded out!"

She was very excited about soccer after the game and is looking forward to this coming Saturday's game. At least for now.

Charlie is the cutest little guy and he entertained us all.

I've been meaning to make it over here to your site! wouldn't you know I finally do about 2am and I should be asleep too!
I love how well you post your happenings here.. . I always try to view them in my subscription page when they come up. I loved this post. the three older boys are playing soccer ~ Sarah reminds me of my Morgan -- she gets sooo excited about something and talks and talks about it.. . . and then it comes time for it and she just can be beside herself with emotions :) but if she finally does it, she loves it all over again! ~ it's just all apart of growing up~
Your children look so sweet and fun. I do think Morgan would enjoy playing with your girls... and if your son doesn't mind rough play, I know he'd love romping with the boys. they're quite a crew ... I do think that brothers in large quantities have energy that seems to just grow and grow and build off each other as they move along! I'm sure your son has learned to be more sensitive since he has sisters. Not a bad quality ! My brother, having all sisters, Robert says, Had such a head start in knowing how to treat a wife ;)
Hope all is well. If you're ever coming through our way, please come to play ;)

Hey Elizabeth! My kids love soccer too! Matthew got his first pair of real soccer shoes today. Alex is participating in a small tournament tomorrow, so we are all going to cheer him on. I hope that we can be somewhere near you guys next fall when we are home on furlough! It would be fun for the kids to get the play together!
