Yesterday, the kids and I met Sumer and Benjamin at the zoo after I got the kids from school. It was a BEAUTIFUL day and we loved being with Sumer and Benjamin and getting to be outside!

The kids enjoyed looking at the bugs, money, plants etc... in the water while we were waiting for the Rookes to get there. Joshua even saved some of the bugs from drowning. It reminded me of when I was little. I used to do that.

The flamingos are so pretty and I had forgotten that they had black on their wings when they opened them. This one had just opened up its wings but I missed getting it on camera. It is still pretty though.

Babec, the gorilla at the zoo, recently died and they had paper out so people could write their memories of him on it, or sign it, and the kids all wrote something.

The girls had fun with Benjamin and Sarah LOVES animals and really liked this caterpillar. I saw a nest of them on a branch at the zoo and was showing it to them. It was way up high and Sarah said, "When I grow up, I will pick it."

While we were walking along, we saw a truck pulling a trailer go by and when they stopped to open a gate so they could go through, Joshua asked them what was in it. They told him 3 camels and by the sounds coming out of the trailer, they were not happy camels. They stopped by the camel enclosure and we decided to sit on a nearby bench and see what came out. They brought out a baby camel. It was bucking and prancing and trying to rear up. It was really cute! I don't think I have ever seen a camel move that much before.

Benjamin is so cute and he loved watching the kids- especially Joshua. He would just laugh and laugh at Joshua!

The kids loved the mister thing and got very wet! Sarah was trying to hide from me so I couldn't get her picture.

When we got home, I told Sarah she needed to go get a shower and she said already had a shower at the zoo. I told her she still needed one.
