Saturday, we took our neighbor to the zoo with us. She has been wanting to go but can't walk that far, so we took her with us and Josh pushed her in her wheelchair. We all really enjoyed it and she seemed to have a great time! The weather was nice- not too hot and it was overcast most of the time, so we didn't have to walk in the direct sunlight. Mrs.Churchill bought us all some ice cream, so that was quite the treat for all of us!
I had fun playing around with the camera and tried taking pictures of some of the animals.
They have a new section to the zoo open. They now have Kangaroos and you can mine for gems. The kids tried that and then walked through a "mine" that had different snakes and animals from Australia in it.
They also have a butterfly house and we all enjoyed sitting in there and watching the butterflies. The kids wanted them to land on us but none ever did.
