We had a great time with Dad, Mom and Stephen on the 4th. It was a fun time of just being together. I am SO thankful for my Dad, Mom and Stephen! We had fun visiting with each other, though it was VERY strange not having anyone else there. I kept expecting Bryan and Angie to drive up any minute and wish they and Kris and Bec could. We missed y'all!
We had some YUMMY watermelon!
Mom made some festive looking popsicles for the kids- they enjoyed them!
Stephen, Joshua and Josh had fun playing football!
We took our tortise with us and let him roam a flower bed while we were there. Dad and I were looking at some of their plants and noticed that the tomato plant looked like something was eating it. At a closer inspection we noticed that it was covered in some type of caterpillar. Josh and Dad took maybe 10 or so large caterpillars off the plant. They were really neat looking!
We also went to a park near their house. Stephen fished a little and we enjoyed seeing the geese, ducks and some very cute baby ducks!
When we got back Dad cooked out some hamburgers and hotdogs that were very good!
We had some really good cake and ice cream for dessert also. As you can see, Joshua enjoyed the ice cream!
After supper we went back outside and the kids and Stephen had fun jump roping. I have never seen anyone jump rope as fast as Stephen!
Right before we left, Sarah caught a frog. I think Grandaddy helped her. She was SO excited! We let her enjoy it for a little bit and then she let it go before we headed back up our way to see the local fireworks.
Thank you SO much for a fun, special time Dad and Mom! We love y'all and are SO thankful for you!
