It has been a couple weeks since my last post and I think we have about figured out a good routine for us. We are very pleased with the kids teachers and the kids seem to be enjoying school, though Sarah is still adjusting some. Her teacher told me today that there were no tears today, so that is good. Joshua and Abby did the same thing when they started kindergarten, though Abby did it at the third week. I think they realize it is a long term thing and they are tired from the busy days and are adjusting to the new schedule and they just can't go home to Mom when they want or need a hug. Sarah really does seems to enjoy it, but she doesn't like the "chaos" of the halls when she goes to school. With over 500 kids going in and out at one time, it looks like chaos but it is really "controlled" chaos.
Everyone knows what they are doing or where they are going. (or at least they appear too)
I think I am adjusting to the new schedule, though I have REALLY, really missed the kids. I think the first week I was a little lost, but I think I am figuring out the schedule now. I am going to be helping out in the school some, so that will be good. Of course, there is a TON of stuff to do at home, I don't think I could ever get all the things done that I need or want to do. My parents have been moving, so I was able to help out with that some. Josh started school this week, so I was able to go eat lunch with him and then we went to a museum at his school during his lunch break. It was fun being able to go on a date with him!
It has been VERY hot here lately. Today was 105 and I think I saw that 16 days this month have been triple digits. A friend of mine said that a local weatherman said tonight he would go out on a limb and say that this was the last day of triple digits for the year. I hope he is right!

A week or so before school started, we took Stephen and the kids bowling. They all seemed to have fun and Josh and I enjoyed watching them!

Joshua had to have two teeth pulled- so far he has lost 4 teeth and they have ALL had to be pulled. Hopefully he won't have to have all his teeth pulled! Here is a picture of him showing where his teeth were pulled- sorry for the food in his teeth, he had just finished eating some crackers.

We had Bryan, Angie and Charlie over for supper a week or two ago, and we loved getting to visit with them!

Last Thursday night, Josh and I had a meeting at the school, so my parents watched the kids. All the cousins ended up being at my parents house, so we were able to get a picture of them together!

Here is a picture of one of our cats- Samantha. The kids LOVE her and Sarah had covered her up with a blanket while she was sleeping.

"One of our cats"? Seems like I haven't seen that one on here before. Is it new?
