Sunday, 18 February 2007

It has been a while since I have updated and we have had lots of things going on. Tonight after church we went to Dad, Mom and Stephen's place and had fun visiting with them and Bryan and Angie. Angie's tummy is "pooching" now, though she looks really good for being due in May and I can't wait until it gets here so we can meet Charlie! I never dreamed I would be so excited about meeting my nephew and nieces! I can't wait to find out what Bec is having!
Well, here is a quick rundown of some of the things we have been up to. (Besides FREEZING in the COLD weather! I know I shouldn't complain since so many people up North and out West that we know have had tons of snow, but I am SO glad that tonight is our last night of really cold weather for a while! Hopefully, 'til next winter or longer!) On Feb. 9th it was parent visitation at the girl's gymnastics class and Josh, Joshua, Mom and I went and watched the girls. They did a great job and it was fun to watch! Abby did some great backbends and Sarah did some great cartwheels! Great job girls!

The next morning we all went to the Mercedes Marathon and cheered Joshua and Abby on in running their mile. They have run 25.2 miles in P.E. at school over the course of several months and their last mile was run at the actual Marathon. Josh ran the mile with Joshua and then ran the mile with Abby when she ran with the kindergartener's, so he got two miles in that day! Go Josh! Sarah and I hung out with whoever wasn't running and tried to watch and stay warm! It was a COLD morning! We were proud of Joshua and Abby's accomplishments!

Here is a family picture taken of us with the Alabama mascot. ( the ONLY reason I am adding that here is because it is the only picture with our whole family.) Here is one of the kids and me with a better one! (in my opinion.)

On February 13, Joshua had the Blue and Gold Banquet for his Cub Scouts and we all went to that. Joshua got to carry the flag down and did a good job.. He has now finished the requirements for being a tiger Cub, so he is now an official tiger cub. Congratulations Joshua!

On Valentine's Day, Joshua's first grade class had Donuts with Dad and all the dad's,(grandad's for some) came and had donuts and watched some plays that the kids put on for them. Joshua made Josh a book and Josh said he had a great time and it was real special!

On Friday, the 16th, the girl's ballet had a father/daughter banquet and Josh took the girls. They all seemed to have a fun time. I enjoyed spending the evening with Joshua!

Well, that kind of caps off most of what has been going on with us. I hope that you all have a blessed February and can hopefully thaw out in the coming next few days!
