  • My day

Well, I decided since I have a blog, I should write something on it.
Today, I went to Joshua's classroom and helped out with some changes that needed to be made on the computers there. It was fun being in the class with him and he was excited to see me! He is such a sweet boy. I overheard him telling one of his friends, "that's MY mom." It made me wonder how long it would be 'til he was embarrassed to say that. Boy, that would be sad if he ever was. I enjoyed hearing Joshua's teacher teaching them and interacting with them today. She seems to be very good with them and he really loves her. She is expecting a baby in April, so I guess he will be getting a new teacher for the last 6 weeks of school. He doesn't seem to upset about it though. Anway, he was all excited because he was line leader today. He was in the lunchroom when I was done and I went to say bye. The line leader always helps clean up their mess from lunch and he gets to pick one person to help him. He was holding the dustpan and his friend was sweeping up the trash.
Mom and Stephen entertained Sarah while I was helping in Joshua's classroom. Or she may have entertained them, I am not sure. She is so much fun and VERY busy! Constantly talking, moving etc.... Never a dull moment with Sarah around.
I checked Abby out of school early to go to the eye doctor and she was sad to leave. I am so thankful she likes it so much. Her teacher, Mrs. Pharo, is SO wonderful and is just the perfect teacher for Abby. She said that when they called down to tell her I was there to pick her up, Mrs. Pharo called her "abby dabba do." They seem to really enjoy each other.
Well, the eye doctor said that Abby needs glasses for her reading, writing , computer etc.... I guess any focused work. They had to dilate her eyes and she had to endure a LONG visit and naming lots of letters but she was brave and very patient. She really relaxed about the visit after I told her and then the nurse told her that they don't give shots at the office. I was very proud of her. She is excited about getting glasses. She picked out some that were disney princess ones and can't wait to get them!
My brother Stephen came over tonight while my parents were eating out. The kids were so excited to see him! He worked on his school work a good bit of the time, but he and Joshua did get a game of "Stortego" in.
Bryan and Angie are moving back to Alabama from California and just got in tonight!! I cannot wait to see them tomorrow! I know they must be tired after the LONG drive with the Penske truck.
Josh headed off to work about 10:00. He works during the night and then sleeps during the day. It took some getting used to, but it isn't all that bad now. We actually see him more and his schedule is a lot more flexible . It works better with his schooling and when he gets to nursing school in a couple semesters, it will really be helpful!
Hopefully I will keep updating regularly, but you never know with me. We will see.

    Elise
