We went to our church tonight and saw the ballet and drama group put on A Simple Gift. It was well put together and had a powerful message. The girls, Sarah especially, loved the ballet and kept saying she wanted to be up there dancing and that she was going to do that one day. Maybe she will, it will be interesting to see.
Sarah had her ballet Christmas party this past Tuesday and was so excited about it! She really loved her ornament that she got from her teacher, Mrs. Peggy!
Joshua and Josh went Thursday afternoon and toured the local police department with his cub scout group. He was so excited and when he got back the main thing he told me about was the machine gun in the police car.
It must have made quite an impression on him.
On Saturday, Abby's kindergarten class was having lunch at a local restaurant. They have all been learning manners and as a "reward" for learning their manners they got to go to a restaurant and show them off. The parents and siblings had to eat in a seperate room, but for the most part either Josh or I was in there keeping our eye on them and taking pictures, basically just enjoying watching them. Each girl had a boy in the class as their "date" and he had to pull the chair out for them, give them their napkins etc... It was pretty cute to watch, though I don't think Abby will be going on any more "dates" for years to come.
She had a lot of fun just being with her class though. Santa came and they all enjoyed getting their picture with him, though I think they liked the candy cane they got the best.
While were were eating our pizza, Joshua said he thought we should buy another house and keep the one we live in also, and make one of them a restaurant. Since he had thought of that idea, I thought he must want to help with it, so I asked him if he wanted to help cook the food or serve the food at the restaurant. He said, "No! I want to EAT the food! " I guess that is a boy for you!
