Joshua's 2nd Grade Program

On Friday, Joshua had his second grade program. I guess it was considered a Thanksgiving/Verteran's Day program. Each child was dressed up as a person from the country that their ancestors were from. Joshua chose Ireland since Josh said his family has some Irish background. It was a very special program.

Each second grade class had something that they did- one did a play, some sang, some recited a poem etc... Joshua's class did the last song and did sign language to Let There Be Peace on Earth while all the second grade classes sang it. They did a great job!

The school had sent a note home before the program asking if the children had any veteran's in their family and if so, they could attend and there would be a special presentation of them. Joshua was VERY thrilled to have Grandaddy come and to get to introduce him. He said, "This is my Grandfather, Lamar Davis, and he was in the Army." I was amazed at all the verteran's that were introduced. It was a special time for Joshua and my Dad!

Before Dad left to go back to work, he gave Joshua his cub scout ring from when he was in cub scouts and also a button from his dress uniform and a couple other things. Joshua was thrilled!! Here Dad is giving them to Joshua and explaining them to him.

Thanks Dad for taking time off of work to come and spend that special time with Joshua! Thanks Mom for coming too!
