You never know what they will say

Yesterday, I was getting ready to run some errands and go vote while I was out. I told Sarah we were getting ready to go vote and she said, " go on a boat ride?" I told her "no, not a boat ride" and tried to explain and then said, "you know, Daddy gave you the sticker he got when he voted this morning." She then said, "Did he win it?" This went on for a little while and I thought she finally had it figured out. When we left the store I told her we were going to vote now and she got all excited and said, "Is it close?" I told her it was next to Joshua and Abby's school and she then said, "Is there water on top of the school?" As we parked and got out of the car, she said, I don't see any water, where's the water?" I started chuckling to myself only to be asked why I was laughing at her. Then she said, but I wanted to go on a boat ride in the water." As we walked in, she said, Oh, We've been here before" and that seemed to settle it!
Joshua is in the 1st grade choir at our church and he has to learn 9 songs by March. He has done really well and tonight we were starting to teach the kids the 5th song, "Rejoice, the Lord Is King". Josh reads the words to them and tells them what they mean, so that the kids understand what they are singing about. When Josh asked what rejoice meant, Joshua said "to open your mouth wide" and in the sentence ..."and triumph evermore" Joshua said that the word evermore means "more of something forever." Josh got to the part, Lift up your heart.... and asked them what they thought it meant and Abby demonstrated as she said, "to lift your chest up high."
