Christmas Village

Before I was married, I started getting pieces for a Christmas village and we have been collecting pieces, usually one or two each Christmas season to add to our collection. They are just the cheap ones you can get at Walmart but we have enjoyed them. This past Saturday, Josh got some scrap wood that we had and made a board that sits on the back of the piano that we can set the village up on. We were going to wait until after Thanksgiving to set it up, but the kids, and Josh, were so excited about it, they went ahead and set it up. The girls have loved playing with it and will sit on the piano as they act out stories with the little people in the town.

that's cute. it's nice that it's not a $$$$ set. i like that your girls can play with it w/o you having to fret over them possibly breaking a $30 snow-covered lamppost.

we always loved my mom's set - she still has it and now my kids love it too ~ fun pictures. you are dong a great job of capturing the fun memories for them. happy Thanksgiving
