Trick or Treat

This morning after I dropped Joshua and Abby off at school, Sarah and I went to three different stores before we could find a pumpkin for Josh to take to the school today. I guess I should have been more prepared and bought it earlier, but.... oh well. Thankfully we found one.
Josh had volunteered to help carve one of three pumpkins today for Abby's class. They were having a Halloween Party and we were told to be there at 12. When he got there, they said it actually wasn't going to be until one, so he got to spend 2 and a half hours today in Abby's class. He watched them have a spelling B, went to music with them, told them stories with "Sugar" the puppet and just had fun being with them and watching them!

I think the kids divided up into teams when they were carving the pumpkins and here is a picture of Josh with his "team". Josh and Abby brought the pumpkin home when they were done and we put it on our porch tonight.

Tonight we took the kids trick or treating. We didn't buy them any outfits, just told them to choose something they had. Josh's mom had made Joshua the Jaguar (it is supposed to be a cheetah but he says we got the wrong kind of fur for a cheetah, it is jaguar fur) outfit for a kindergarten program last year. Abby was a fairy and Sarah was a ballerina. We went to Dad and Mom's house and ate a hamburger, picked up Stephen and then came back to our apartments and made the rounds. We also drove to Bryan and Angie's new house and trick or treated to them and got a tour of the house. Then we dropped Stephen off and headed home to put the Jaguar, Fairy and Ballerina to bed. They had a whole lot of fun and got TONS of candy. If anyone wants any candy, you know where to look!
