It is amazing to me how fast time is going by. Seems like I just updated and it has already been a full week and a half. The leaves have been BEAUTIFUL!! I didn't think we would have that many pretty leaves because of the drought but they have been so pretty.

Seems like we have been busy, as usual, though the last couple weekends have been nice and quiet, just spent at home. On Thursday, Nov 8th, Joshua went to his friend Luke's birthday party. It was an army pary and the boys had a LOT of fun! Luke was turning 5 but he loves to play with Joshua and thankfully Joshua loves playing with Luke! His mom said that Joshua was the guest of honor, Luke looks up to him so much. I am thankful that my children enjoy playing with children younger than themselves and I pray that they set a good example.

On Tuesday, November 13, Joshua had his cubscout pack meeting. They had a guy named John Scalisi come who leads drum circles. They boys all took instruments and had a great time playing on their drums! I stayed home with the girls, but Josh said it was VERY loud!

The other day the kids found a caterpillar outside. We are thinking it may be a swallowtail butterfly caterpillar. When the kids would touch its back, a forked redish thing would come out of its neck or head area. We were reading online that when it feels threatened the forked structure comes out of its head and emits a smelly secretion to scare off predators. I guess it is a smell that only bugs or animals can smell as we didn't smell anything, but we did put it somewhere where I hoped it would be safe. It was pretty neat to see. It is neat to see how God makes all the creatures so different and beautiful! Even caterpillars.
