What's been going on lately
Well, it has been a while since I last posted. We have all been sick with something (some of us, several different somethings) but we are hopefully on the upward swing of things. We had a great Thanksgiving in New York with Josh's family. The kids had a great time playing with their cousins and we enjoyed visiting with everyone. Josh's Aunt Loretta from Florida even came with one of her friends! Joshua and Abby pose with Aunt Loretta with their Indian shirts that they made in Kindergarten.
We had Thanksgiving Dinner and then celebrated our Christmas together since everyone would be in different places on Christmas. We opened gifts and had a great time.
We all sang a song before we ate our wonderful meal! Thomas-Josh's brother's son
Each family even got to decorate a gingerbread house and Joshua and Sarah had fun decorating ours. Abby helped Aunt Loretta decorate hers. We attempted to bring it home, but unfortunately it didn't survive the trip.
Timothy- Josh's younger sister Kristen's son
Yesterday, we went to Old Baker's Farm and cut down our Christmas tree. The kids had a blast. We rode a wagon to the spot were we wanted to look for our tree.
We saw the tree we wanted almost right away, but Abby said we couldn't get that one because we hadn't looked long enough, so we looked for maybe 15 more minutes and then worked our way back to the original one and picked it again!
Then they alll helped pull the tree to the place where we would buy it and load it up.
It was a fun family time and the weather was beautiful! I will try to get around to posting pictures of the kids decorating the tree soon.
Tonight the kids had their choir program. They all did a great job and I was proud of their hard work!
