Yea for Abby!!
Yesterday when the kids got home from school they went outside to play. It is nice that it is cooler- they have LOVED playing outside. I was starting to get a little worried that they didn't like being outside because this summer I couldn't get them to go out that much. I have decided it was because it was TOO hot. As soon as the temps started staying in the 80's, the kids have been playing outside whenever they get a chance.Well, Abby wanted to try riding Joshua's bike so she got on and I tried to catch her when she would start to fall over or head into cars, the dumpster etc.... and she did it! She could ride the bike! She was very excited and had fun, though she is still working on her steering. She seems to have trouble remembering to pedal, steer and brake when she needs to all at the same time. I am sure it is a lot to remember when she hasn't really ridden it but a few times with training wheels. She runs into things too easily but she can balance on it and ride it around. Josh tried to get a picture of her while I was cooking supper. He was running alongside her trying to get the picture and make sure she didn't hit any cars
, so it is a little blurry. I am hoping to get back out with her tomorrow and maybe with both of us out there, one can make sure Abby doesn't hit anything and the other can get the picture.
