Today has been a rather frustrating, worrisome day. Sarah's asthma was so bad last night, that when I got her up,coughing and crying, to give her a breathing treatment, her lips were blue and she was saying she couldn't breathe. The treatment helped and she fell back asleep, but I called Josh and he suggested I call the after hours nurse and she called in some more albuterol for Sarah. As I finished up talking with Josh at work and telling him her medicine was being called in, he walked in the kitchen. Scared me to death! Anway's, he went and got her medicine but he stayed home the rest of the night. I got up late, Josh and I both had a hard time sleeping we were so worried about Sarah, and took Joshua and Abby to the library to see a magic show. Sarah stayed home with Josh. Turns out they had the magic show listed at 3:00,instead of 10:30, so not many people came at all- maybe 18 at the most. I felt rather sorry for the magician, but it was still fun. When I came in, he came up to me and showed me a 1 dollar bill and said he could change it to 100 dollars when it changed to my other hand. He grabbed my arms and tried to show me how to move them around like i was supposed to, then told me to open my hands. Of course the dollar bill was still in the same hand, but he said oh well, I got your watch though. :) Sure enough, he was holding my watch! :-)
Mom and Mrs. Hale came by later and got Joshua and Abby and took them bowling with everyone. Sarah had just finished a breathing treatment and fell asleep, so it was nice and quiet. I ate lunch and then Sarah woke up crying and coughing. She wanted me to hold her and as I watched her breathe, I freaked out. I started crying and called Josh (He was at Dr. Mirelman's, he was doing great and he got released thankfully!) and told him maybe we should take her in. Her fever was 104.5 and she was listless, breathing very fast and hard and moaning..... basically miserable. When he finally got home, the nurse called and said a dr would see her, she would call us back and let us know who, so we left and started to the dr. The nurse called back at around 4:15 and said well, the doctors were leaving to go home, so nobody would see her, take her to after hours, but they don't open til 4:30 and they would call us to make an appointment. They finally called at 5:15, but by then we had Sarah back home and I was picking Joshua and abby up from Dad and Mom's. She seemed to be doing some better so we are going to wait and see what happens. Hopefully she will be fine til tomorrow. We sure pray so. I am so tired and just finished giving sarah another breathing treatment. Her fever is up to 103.6 again. I am going to have to finish this later, so I can finish up a few things and head to bed. She is in bed with me, so I can hear her better, since I am such a SOUND sleeper. It is rather scary. Hope she is ok.
